About Our Movement

Together, we will improve MCPS for all. We have more than unattainable goals. We have specific, achievable policies that will greatly change our school system for the better.

I’ve attended schools that fed into 7 different MCPS high schools. My experiences across high school clusters have helped me to craft original, informed policies that will help all students in our school district.

Make Homework Optional

Expand Representation

ALL students in MCPS deserve representation on the school board. Currently, the tens of thousands of non-citizen students in our school system do not have this right because members of the Board of Education are required to be registered voters. If I am elected SMOB, I will propose a resolution to change this, by allowing all adult residents of Montgomery County to run for election to the school board. 

Rename MCPS

Montgomery County Public Schools is named after a white plantation owner who enslaved multiple people.

We must stop celebrating white supremacists.

Equalize Funds

Education is a human right. 

That's why it's such a huge problem that our schools have inequitable resources. As SMOB, I will take the most aggressive policy yet to end the achievement gap in our county. 

Early Graduation Test

Students who meet the academic standards required to graduate from high school should not have their time wasted.
